Hi! My name is Sean and I am testing Drive Bender before purchasing. I have a JBOD with 13TB of disk and I used that to create a pool. Unfortunately I didn't get the option to merge or include the folders in two of the drives so now I have a pool but no folders and folders not in any pool. How can I retrospectively merge or convert the existing folders into the pool without having to take the original drive out of the pool and reinstating them? Or is that the only option? I have gone through most of the menu options and I don't have a convert option. I will convert as I don't want another mount just straightforward inclusion in pool. Or is it excluded because I am testing the product i.e. it is irreversible and cannot be removed? I have another pool of 10TB I want to create but I am waiting on this support request to decide how to move forward. That is nearly 60% full. Definitely need to bring the existing folders into the pool. I also ssume that it is not difficult to move folders between pools? Secondly, may I suggest that the wiki is linked and prominent in the UI. I had to google it to find it as I could not find any link to it on the Drive Bender page. If I had seen teh wiki before I installed Drive Bender I may never had had this problem. Finally should I decide to go ahead and purchase Drive Bender, I presume that the option to purchase three is to install on three PC not per drive but more importantly - please reassure me that I will not have to reinstall just to buy the product. Many thanks and I am glad there is Drive Bender for Windows. I have been looking for a pooling software for some time. It was a reddit article that pointed me at Drive Bender. Nice meeting you all. sean
I was sitting down to see if I could start implementing CloudXtender in my home, but it looks as if it does not play nice with DriveBender at this point. Mainly due to the fact that I can not have a DriveBender pool be a host to the cache files. I was really hoping that would happen. Is this something that is soon, relatively of course, to come?
I just upgraded to win10 10586 and the other of my DB machines did not survive. I checked that service is running, pool instances says starting up... Tried the usual fix, uninstall - install, but I can't uninstall the product. Installer says "a program required for this install to complete could not be run." I run msiexec /uninstall, msiexec /regserver, but it did not help. log attached, any tips? MSIae667.zip
Has anyone tried using OneDrive to make a cloud backup of your drive bender drives? I'm curious how well this might work or not. My idea was to create a new root structure on my DriveBender.... make that the "sync" drive and stat moving data from one drivebender folder to the "syncing" folder slowly.
