I am using Drive Bender on my Gaming PC.

So far this beta is not working on so many levels.

It is hard to build up a Pool, when you can't select your drives. Before I was using TrueCrypt Volumes. Now I decrypted everything and using the drives directly with Drive Bender (2x3TB). But still I couldn't add a second drive to my pool. Had to create the pool with the stable version and upgrade then. Even with the Console it was not possible to add drives to the pool.

First I had  1,2TB of data on one Disk. Then the balancing was running and it was shifting more than 50% of the whole data to the second drive. I aborted the task an deactivated the balancing feature.

Then it shows sometimes around 1TB of non pool used data. I was moving every data into the pool. Didn't just convert the drive into the pool. Now it is still showing 2,4GB. In my mind it should be zero.

Now I got a problem with Origin from EA. This software is not able to create folders and files in my Pool. When I change the Game Folder to my System drive it is working.

I'm going back now to version 1.9.5.0

I know this is a beta version, but I'm still a bit disappointed, that some core functions are not working any more.

Hope version 2 gets stable soon.

Edit 23. dez 20:20

Now I reverted back to stable 1.9.5.0 and Origin is working again and can create folders and files in the pool.

The 2.0.2.6 release is beta code and there is a standing warning that you should not stand it up on production machines unless you're fully prepared to deal with the possibility of lost data and/or non-functioning features. If you need reliability you should install the 1.9.5.0 latest production release. This will allow you to add drives to your pool and so on.

Bugs:

1. If "Duplication" link (top right) is clicked after fresh install when pool has no drives and no mount points are defined, the dashboard crashes.

2. Defined a new pool, deleted the default one. Then added the first drive. After that the other drives disappear from the list so that I cannot add additional drives. A pool with one drive, what's the point? :-)

Please fix

v2.0.2.6 WHS2011 (System Drive is an SSD)

Client Win7x64U MSE

(All fully up to date)

I'm having problems accessing from a client (Not accessible/Access denied) previously OK mapped shared folders in the pool from client computers. It seems that other than a recycle bin, a 'blank' mapped drive is created that a homegroup client computer can't access.

Have tried clearing & re-establishing the mapping, but it doesn't help. Have tried network troubleshooters etc. From the server, running the HomeGroup troubleshooter, I get - Unexpected Error. The TS wizard can't continue. 0x80070057

I'm also having a problem with getting my License key to 'stick'. Every time I reboot, MY license is replaced by the temporary one.

Could these issues be linked?

Can't speak to the mapping problem.

I believe the license key issue is by design. Since this is beta software I think the intent is for this software to run on the temporary key. This will make sure that beta code doesn't end up running long beyond the release version is available.

My problems with mapped drives have been fixed in v2.0.2.8

Thanks
