The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this a DB at all related.  When I try to create a Computer Recovery USB Key (I have tried three different USB Keys so far) I get a "The Bootable Usb Flash Drive Could Not Be Created" yet the USB key seem to have been formated and some files transferred (35 Files, 14 Folder taking up 33MB).  In checking in EventView I see this error over and over during the period the USB key should be created "The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block".  So before I start running chkdsk - I thougt it best to check:

1) Could it be DB related

2) Best way of running chkdsk over my drives in a DB Environment as I have:

  - Disc0 (2TB): 100MB NTFS System Partition, C:\ 60GB NTFS Boot (WHS) Partition, 1802BG NTFS DB1 Partition

  - Disc1 (2TB): DB2 Partition

  - Disc2 (2TB): DB4 Partition

  - Disc3 (2TB): DB3 Partition

  - Disk4 (1TB): USB Disc for WHSBackUp

  - Disk5 (DB):  Reported as 1247.94 NTFS Partition but this the the D: created by BD

  - Disk6 (2gb): USB Key I'm trying to make as the Recovery USB Key E:
